A US-based wedding planning company approached Emvigo at the very beginning – the discovery phase. They had 20+ years of wedding consulting expertise and saw a clear gap in the market. They had a vision for a culturally-specific platform serving South Asian couples across the US.

South Asian weddings are structurally more complex than typical Western weddings. This included multiple ceremonies across multiple days, guest lists of 300 to 1,000+, dozens of vendors across different event types, culture-specific checklists, and extended family involvement at every stage. No existing wedding planning tool was built for any of that.

Emvigo took on the complete product lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through to full development and ongoing delivery. This resulted in building a dual-audience platform serving both couples and wedding professionals across a 4.5-year engagement.

Customised to-do lists, template libraries, and planning flows to each South Asian wedding type. This replaced generic checklists with culturally relevant, actionable guidance.

Advanced Vendor Matching System

Typeform-powered preference collection fed a matching algorithm that delivered personalised vendor recommendations. This reduced vendor search time and increasing booking confidence.

Bulk guest list upload, RSVP tracking, meal preference management, and attendance coordination across all ceremonies were built to handle lists of 300 to 1,000+ without friction.

Payments, Contracts and Membership Architecture

Stripe Connect for subscription and transaction processing across free and VIP tiers, with vendor contract storage and management integrated directly into both user journeys.
